This topic has become quite a hot button issue. I was initially in disagreement with the initiative, as it had quickly been politicized before and as it was presented to the public. The core of it I heartily agree with and encourage others to support; we cannot expect to see growth in Hastings apart from the inclusion of varying ethnicities. This doesn't justify changing everything about Hastings, but merely consider what things have become roadblocks to potential new neighbors.
